ANTHONY ZERBE actor-playwright-teacher

Emmy Award winning stage and film actor Anthony Zerbe is regarded as of the country’s major character actors of stage, film and tv.

In an 90 minute ZOOM conversation, he speaks with young actors developing their art and craft in looking to work in theatre and film.

Zerbe describes the genius of American acting as realism informed by genuine emotion with each generation of actors extending and redefining that tradition according to the time in which they live.

In the 90 minute session that is part lecture and part back and forth conversation, Zerbe suggests to students ways to find an authentic emotional connection with a stage/film character and sourced by that emotion move from there to create fictional yet totally real character.
